I have read the GHOSTS of WAR The Secret of Midway and it was really good. I feel bad for Anderson Greg and Julie with every body making fun of them. I hope the next book is as good as the first I also hope you write more books in the series. Thank you for writing these books.
Thank you, Lucas. It’s good that Anderson, Greg, and Julie have one another as friends to help them get through middle school–and to help one another with the ghost mysteries. Another Ghost of War book is coming out very shortly–it’s called Lost at Khe Sanh–and two more Ghosts of War books are coming out next year. I’ve finished writing one and I’m working on the second one right now. Just took a break for a minute from writing to send you this note. Take care.
I just wanted to let you know how much my 10 year old enjoyed these two books. It has been difficult trying to find books he enjoys and I couldn’t get him to put these down (not that I really made him). Looking forward to the next two next year. Thanks!!
Thanks, Andrea. My own 10-year-old, who read the first two books before they were released, keeps trying to sneak into my manuscript files to see what I’m up to with the next two, which I take as a high compliment from a kid who mostly just wants to play basketball and do taekwando.

My son brought home the first two books from his school book fair last month. We really enjoyed reading them together. I am happy to read that you are working on more volumes. Is there a rough time frame for their release? My son is only 7 years old, but reading is his ‘thing’. This is the only series I have found that is both content and reading level appropriate. thank you!
Hi Liz. Glad your son is enjoying the Ghosts of War series so far. Book 3 should be out in December 2015, and Book 4 next March. My 10 year old keeps trying to sneak a peak at the manuscripts for the upcoming books. I’ve finished #3 and will be finished with #4 the end of this month, so they’re on their way.
My son is 8 years old, he hasn’t been a huge reader until we found these books at a book fair. So glad we found these! Thank you for writing a series that my son can enjoy and read for pleasure. This has opened up a whole new world to him. Can not wait to purchase the next in the series.
Hi Valerie. Thanks for your note. Great to hear. Please tell your son for me that Ghosts of War book #3, which should be out by the end of this year, starts with Greg getting hit in the head with a rubber chicken. Belman, of course, is involved. And a new ghost from World War II.
my son is 10, almost 11 and he encouraged me to read these. I served in the Marines and so this really intrigued me. excellent books! glad he put some spiritual things in there as well.

Hi Andrea, I believe the release dates for books 3 and 4 are the end of March, but they should be available in Scholastic book fairs earlier in the spring. Glad to hear your son is enjoying the books. Tell him there are some pretty big surprises coming up in the next two.

My Grandson and I are reading “The Secret of Midway” and it is really keeping his interest. We have already read “Lost in Khe Sanh” and that was equally one of the beat books we have read in a long time. I have been looking for other “Ghosts of War” stories and I see that there is one for North Africa which I will try to find locally. We look forward to more of your historical novels in the future. Thanks for your note. Just the four Ghosts of War, but I have a stand-alone middle-grade book about World War II coming out in October that your son may want to read. It’s called Sink or Swim and it’s about the German U-Boats that plagued the East Coast at the start of the war–and about a 12-year-old boy who enlists in the U.S. Navy to fight them, inspired by the true story of a kid that age who was the youngest to serve in the military in WWII.
Are you going to be adding to this series. We need to know whether happens to the band and there are more Ghosts to help I’m sure! I love these as much as my son. We’ve read them twice already.
I am currently reading the first book with my boys, ages 12…13in 3 weeks…and 10. It wa my 12 year old who brought my art nation to these books a few years ago and we have all four books. While we haven’t finished them yet, we’re dying to know if more will be coming anytime soon or in the future? I am from NOVA but now live in the Roanoke area and have been through Fredericksburg many times so reading a book based in a town so close by is exciting for us!
Just the four Ghosts of War books for now, Lori. I did have a new standalone book that came out last year, Sink or Swim, which your son may be interested in reading since he liked the Ghosts of War.
